Looking for Internship opportunities with our Community Partners?

Our Youth Corps Community Internship (YCCI) is a 5-6 month developmental programme where youths will not only intern with one of Youth Corps Community Partners in the community and social sector but also attend Skills Training, Career Explorations, Learning Journeys and also serve the community. This programme enables youths to continue their development through on-the-job-training and learning experiences within the sector and contribute back to society.

YCCI (Leaders Track) is a new 6-month leadership development programme for youth interested in becoming community leaders. Throughout the programme, participants will gain hands-on experience through internships with Community Partners, receive specialised leadership training, and be guided by dedicated staff and mentors. Upon completion, youths will be conferred as Youth Corps Leaders.

For Youths

Youths will be able to gain valuable skills and exposure to working in the real world, develop empathy and understanding of the social and community sector. Youths will also receive a monthly allowance of S$800 from the Host Organisation and attend career explorations, learning journeys and skills-based trainings!

Prior to application, please ensure that you fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 17 to 25 years old;
  2. Available for a 5-6 months full-time internship
  3. Current student from ITE/ Polytechnics/ Autonomous Universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private education institutions and overseas institutions) or currently in transition phase (e.g. awaiting for University) and keen in the social and community sector
If you are interested to do more and develop your leadership skills, you can apply to the YCCI (Leaders Track)! Please note the following additional criteria for the Leaders Track:-
  1. Experience in a leadership position (e.g. CCA Exo) and/or volunteering track record as a regular/adhoc volunteer
  2. Not already a current Aspirant or conferred YCS Leader
  3. Available for the entire programme period from 1 March to 30 September 2025

For Host Organisation

Organisations will be able to take in youths as interns to meet organisational needs such as curating or expanding meaningful projects/services that have impact on the community that the organisation is serving. Organisations will also be able to tap on the funding provided to cover the monthly internship allowance.

Prior to application, please ensure that your company meets the following criteria:

  1. Registered or incorporated in Singapore
  2. Be in the community/social sector, including non-governmental organisations (NGOs), non-profit organisations (NPO), and social enterprises. Public agencies in the community and social sector are not eligible to apply;
  3. Be secular and non-partisan;
  4. Offer full-time internship(s) from five to six months with clear learning objectives and outcomes that would allow the intern to be exposed to the beneficiaries/community cause or be directly serving the beneficiaries; and
  5. Provide a supervisor to offer guidance to the intern(s) during the full course of the internship

    As a Programme Support Intern, the incumbent assists the programme staff from Enabling Services Hub@Jurong in programme planning & implementation of activities that benefit the needs of clients under ESH. The programme will include enrichment activities and lifeskills training such as community living skills, financial literacy, etc. The Intern will also assist in supporting community inclusive events such as mending awareness booth or door-to-door outreach to Persons with disability.

    Provide care and support to students in an inclusive and caring environment. They offer guidance to students with their homework, is responsible for their safety and well-being, and uses positive behavior techniques to reinforce good behaviour. To support the holistic development of the students at the centre, they will deliver Canossian Care Curriculum lessons to the students. They are a good role model for the students and actively imparts good habits and social skills to our students.
